Junior infants are loving the theme of gardening in Aistear. I think grinding up petals to make 'perfume' (and 'aftershave'!) and mashing fruit to make 'smoothies' have been firm favourites among the children. Sixth class very kindly made us clay pots last week and today, the first group started decorating them. We're hoping to grow cress seeds for our pots in the coming weeks. Thank you 6th class!
Special thanks also to the PA who provided extra toys and resources for Aistear. We've added a market stall, shopping baskets, an easel, wooden people, wooden buildings that we can assemble ourselves and new animals. We also got a new game called Marble Run which is proving very popular. It is helping to develop problem-solving and STEM skills. The children's creations are becoming more and more amazing each week!
