The 6th class children created fantastic God's Eyes by weaving wool and coloured thread around lollipop sticks. This took concentration and a lot of effort but it was worth it. The attention to detail is amazing. Check them out on our window.
But what are God's Eyes?
They are objects first created by the indigenous Huichol people of Mexico. They were used for prayer and protection. They worshipped nature and the earth. The four points represented the elements and the centre of the weaving represented a portal to the spiritual world.
